A few months back, a lot of sites were reporting on potential titles for the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. And now, Rockstar has finally come out and announced what it is.
The next title in the GTA series will be Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which presumably means it will be based in an area like Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. This won out over titles like Sin City, Tokyo and Bogota.
But that's not the only information that was given. They also announced a release date of October 19, 2004 in North America and October 22, 2004 in Europe. So fear not, GTA fans, you don't have to wait much longer.
